Park Ranger (Career Seasonal)

You will serve as a Park Ranger (Career Seasonal) with the Bureau of Land Management. The Park Ranger helps people safely enjoy public lands by giving information, responding to emergencies, and ensuring visitors follow rules that protect natural and cultural resources. The position also maintains recreation sites, supports educational programs, and works independently in a variety of outdoor conditions to keep facilities and resources in good condition.

• Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provide recreation regulation and ethics information to visitors and monitor visitor use patterns and impacts to resources. Monitor commercial and competitive special recreation permits. Coordinate recreation projects including planning, designing, surveying, construction, and maintenance of trails, campsites, etc., as required. Gather and analyze data related to existing recreational resources to recognize prominent trends. Prepare recreation areas/sites for visitor use, to include planning, operation, and required maintenance.
