This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Ice Harbor Project is a multi-purpose hydropower project with missions that include operation and maintenance of the facility for flood control, hydroelectric power generation, navigation locks, fish facility, recreation and natural resources management.

  • Enforces Title 36 CFR by educating the visiting public on the purposes of the dam and lake, conservation measures, environmental features, and Corps policies and regulations.
  • Patrols public lands and waters to prevent unauthorized use, trespass, destruction of natural, cultural, or historic resources or government property; to ensure compliance with rules and regulations; and for the protection of public lands and waters.
  • Investigates violations, issues citations, and testifies in court.
  • Conducts public education and interpretive services for the general public and for special groups.
  • Assists with specification, development and administration of law enforcement contracts.
