This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Use specific knowledge of the visitor center's policies, objectives and operating methods in one or more of the following program areas: recreation management, natural resources management, visitor assistance, and interpretation.

  • Assists in planning, developing, and implementing the Interpretive Program at the Visitor Center.
  • Responsible for day-today operations of the Visitor Center.
  • Coordinates and carries out events such as programs for schools, civic, scout, senior and other organized groups.
  • Provides visitor assistance and is responsible for ongoing observation for public safety hazards and hazardous activities.
  • Provides recreation services such as conducting land and water patrols to enforce rules/regulations, observes swimming and boating operations, etc.
