Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, and administering of complex operational and technical assistance programs designed to efficiently, effectively, and safely reduce wildlife damage that adversely impacts agricultural interests, human health and safety, property, and natural resources. The programs are of major economic and public health significance and are conducted in both rural and urban areas.
- The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
- The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for efficiently, effectively, and safely reducing adverse wildlife-related impacts to agriculture, property, natural resources, and to reduce wildlife impacts on human health and safety.
- Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, establishes and adjusts short-term and long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Assists with the development and implementation of conventional strategic plans based on Wildlife Services Directives and program needs.
