Midco Aquatic Center Shift Options:
Current vacancies include shifts at both indoor aquatic facilities (Midco Aquatic Center and Westside Recreation Center)
- Priority vacancies: weekday shifts from 5:15 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Swimming lesson instructors
- Certified fitness instructors (land and/or water)
- Front desk customer service
- Ongoing available shifts are listed below. All staff are eligible to work up to 28 hours per week.
Midco Aquatic Center Shift Options:
- Monday through Friday: 5:15 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. or 3:45 to 8:15 p.m.
- Saturday: 6:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 to 6:15 p.m.
- Sunday: 11:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
- Monday through Friday: 4:45 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 4 to 9 p.m.
- Saturday: 6:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12 to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 to 5 p.m.
Applicants must be 15 years old. Must be willing and will be required to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours.
Applicants should demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Lifeguard employment requires American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Applicants can apply without certification. The job offer is contingent based on successful completion of the certificate. If hired, the City of Sioux Falls will reimburse the cost of certification.
