You will serve as a Environmental Protection Specialist (Temporary) for Glacier National Park. This is a temporary position not-to-exceed one year with potential to be extended for an additional one year for a maximum of two years based on agency needs and potential funding. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
- Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Functions as an environmental specialist who assists with all aspects of compliance processes and environmental documentation for the park. Assists in the preparation, internal review, and the public involvement and review process for assigned environmental compliance documents, including but not limited to environmental assessments and biological assessments. Ensures documents are technically adequate and conform to the National Environmental Policy Act and other environmental laws, regulations, policies and guidelines. Participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team and assists with gathering information and evaluating proposals.
