This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Environmental Protection Specialist with responsibility for assisting in the overall management of the Tooele Army Depot Environmental Program.

  • Plans, develops, organizes, administers, evaluates, and coordinates one or more environmental protection programs for all areas of the installation.
  • Manages one or more environmental programs, such as: Clean Air Act; Noise; Solid Waste Management; Storage Tank Program; etc.,
  • Manages and maintains the installation's drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater programs.
  • Provides support to the Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Track requirements, compile data, coordinate with Restoration Program contractors, and prepare reports.
