More than 115,000 employees and a mission stated in three parts, uphold the rule of law, keep the country safe, and protect civil rights: that is the Department of Justice, the employer behind the name Offices, Boards and Divisions. Under the Attorney General, the department comprises more than 40 separate component organizations, headquartered at the Robert F. Kennedy Building in Washington, D.C., with field offices in every state and territory and in more than 50 countries.
